Members of the Livonia High School Future Farmers of America (FFA) Chapter have implemented a new community service project which will benefit the citizens of Pointe Coupee Parish. The chapter has committed to volunteer on the third Wednesday of each month at the Fordoche Food Bank. Members will rotate to help distribute donations for the needy of Pointe Coupee Parish. These student volunteers’ service, of loading and sorting donated goods for citizens, will begin at 6:30 a.m. Mr. Chenevert, advisor of the Livonia FFA, noted, “Our chapter and our members are truly honored to be of service to their community. They have expressed the pleasure in being able to give back, and that making up a little class work in order to help, is completely worth it.”
The faculty and staff of Livonia High School commend the FFA members for their outreach in the community and applaud their dedication to serve their school and community in such a gratifying manner.
