LHS Students Share the Spirit of the Season

Pointe Coupee Parish students volunteer for the annual Breakfast with Santa.
Although it was their first day off of school for Christmas break for some Pointe Coupee Parish schools, over 15 students from across the parish woke up early to volunteer for the annual Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, December 17, hosted by the Town of Livonia. Chief Brad Joffrion and the Livonia Police Department coordinated a delicious hot breakfast for over 60 children and their families. Mayor Troy Chustz kicked off the morning with a greeting and the lighting of the town's Christmas tree. Santa arrived with the assistance of the Livonia Fire Department and greeted children of all ages. Many of the town council members also joined in with the Mayor welcoming the families to the annual gathering. What an incredible vision to see students embracing the real reason for the season and volunteering across school lines! Thanks to the CHS Hornet volunteers, LHS Wildcat volunteers, and SMA Eagles for making the event so pleasant for all of the attendees.
